New hires don't fail because they aren't trying. They fail because they can't find the right answer fast enough, and no one is available at 9pm the night before their first customer call.
Ramp Ready is a new hire knowledge assistant that puts the company playbook on demand. A new hire types a question in plain language and gets back a structured, playbook-sourced answer in seconds. No digging through shared drives, no waiting for a manager to respond, no generic Google search. Just the right answer for their role, in the moment they need it. The tool is role-aware, so the experience and suggested questions adapt based on whether someone is an AE, SDR, Account Manager, or CSM.
When they're ready to test their knowledge, the Prove It mode lets them pick a topic, run through five questions, get instant feedback on each answer, and see a full score breakdown at the end so they know exactly where they stand and what to review before their next coaching conversation.
Why This Tool Was Needed
Most onboarding programs are built around content delivery... here's the deck, here's the LMS module, here's the certification. What they don't solve is the moment-of-need gap: the new hire who finished onboarding two weeks ago and now can't remember how to position against a competitor, or isn't sure what the exit criteria are for Phase 2, or needs to know what a good agenda looks like before a call that starts in an hour. That gap gets filled by bothering a busy manager, searching a cluttered knowledge system, or just winging it. Ramp Ready was built to close that gap by giving new hires a fast, reliable, always-on resource that extends the value of onboarding into the real flow of daily work.
I designed the concept and user experience end to end. That included identifying the moment-of-need gap in typical onboarding, defining the role-aware workflow, determining how playbook content should be structured and surfaced, designing the knowledge check experience and scoring logic, and building the interactive prototype itself. My role covered strategy, concept design, UX, content design, and front-end build.
A fully interactive prototype demonstrating how AI can extend the value of onboarding beyond the first 30 days. This tool gives new hires a faster path to the right answer and a way to validate their own readiness before it shows up as a problem in the field. Available for live demonstration.
